discover the wonders of nature

We are located in Uvita de Osa, Puntarenas. This area is an ecological paradise with its unspoiled beach, mountainous rainforests, and abundant wildlife. Vista Ballena itself is located with an amazing view of the ocean perfect for bird, dolphin and whale watching. We are located across from Ballena Marine National Park, Costa Rica’s only marine reserve. Here you will find the iconic views of the "Whale Tail", where converging currents form the majestic sandbar that extends several hundred yards into the ocean. This is a popular destination to watch Humpback Whales migrate each year, experience the largest coral reef in all of Central America, and watch turtles lay eggs at night.

In nearby Corcovado National Park is an enormous 103,290 acres of tropical rainforest. As one of the most complex and biodiverse ecosystems in the world, Corcovado is home to 500 species of trees, 6,000 species of insects, 140 species of mammals, almost 400 species of birds, 116 species of amphibians and reptiles, and 40 species of fish. Spend the day hiking these protected and untouched wonders.
